COVID and the Courts - Help Keep Courthouses Safe
The Judiciary’s COVID-19-specific page provides valuable information for self-represented litigants, jurors, lawyers, and the public at large. The website includes Supreme Court Orders, news releases, and District Reopening Plans which detail each district’s health and safety measures for resuming jury trials.
It’s also important to note there are many alternatives to coming to the courthouse – all districts have set up fax and email addresses so people can file documents electronically, and all districts have phone numbers to call to reach a live person who will be able to assist them.
We understand how important it is for people who come to courthouses to feel safe because oftentimes they do not have a choice to be there.
